Job Title: Construction LaborerJob DescriptionThe Construction Laborer supports a wide range of tasks across an active construction site, including concrete work, site cleanup, and general labor duties. This role works closely with supervisors and crew members to keep the project moving efficiently while maintaining a safe and organized work area. Responsibilities • Assist with concrete pours, including working with a come-along and moving concrete with wheelbarrows as needed. • Perform concrete cleanup after foundational pours to ensure a safe and tidy work surface. • Tear down and remove concrete forms once pours have been completed and cured. • Support general site cleanup, including removing construction dust from walls, ceilings, and baseboards. • Move, install, and adjust site signage to support safety, traffic flow, and project requirements. • Carry out general labor tasks as directed to support various trades and project activities. • Follow instructions from supervisors and adhere strictly to site safety plans and procedures. • Use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly as part of daily tasks. • Maintain an organized work area and promptly remove debris and materials that could create hazards. • Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks efficiently and meet project timelines. Essential Skills • Experience working on construction sites performing general labor tasks. • Ability to assist with concrete pours, including using a come-along and wheelbarrows to move concrete. • Proficiency in using common construction hand tools safely and effectively. • Proficiency in using basic power tools in a construction environment. • Understanding of concrete work, including cleanup and removal of forms. • Basic carpentry skills to support general construction activities. • Ability to follow detailed instructions from supervisors and work within established site safety plans. • Strong awareness of safety practices on busy construction sites with significant vehicle and equipment traffic. • Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods. Additional Skills & Qualifications • OSHA 10 certification is a plus. • Lull, boom lift, and scissor lift certifications are highly beneficial. • Previous experience on large construction sites is an advantage. • Ability to work long shifts and maintain productivity and safety focus. • Reliable attendance and punctuality, especially for extended workweeks. Work EnvironmentThis role is based on a large, active construction site with significant traffic and many moving parts, including vehicles, equipment, and multiple trades working simultaneously. Workdays typically run 10–12 hours, six days a week, requiring comfort with extended shifts and outdoor conditions. You will regularly use construction hand tools, power tools, and may work around or with equipment such as lifts, under strict safety guidelines. The environment is physically demanding, with frequent standing, walking, lifting, and exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather. Appropriate construction attire and personal protective equipment are required to ensure safety on site. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Lebanon, IN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
