Job Title: Service PlumberJob DescriptionThis role combines residential and commercial service plumbing with construction work across multi-family, commercial, and institutional projects. You will handle a mix of service calls, proactive maintenance on buildings under contract, and support for new construction projects when needed. The position involves significant work with hydronic heating, ventilation controls, and mechanical systems, requiring a strong technical experience and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues independently.Responsibilities

• Perform residential and commercial service plumbing work, including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for multi-family, commercial, and institutional buildings. • Respond to service calls, assess issues on site, and complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship. • Support construction projects by installing plumbing systems and related mechanical components in new builds and renovations as needed. • Work extensively with hydronic heating and ventilation controls, ensuring systems are installed, configured, and functioning correctly. • Conduct proactive inspections and maintenance on buildings covered under maintenance contracts to identify and address potential issues before they escalate. • Interpret and work from blueprints and technical drawings to install and repair plumbing and mechanical systems accurately. • Collaborate with the construction and service teams to prioritize tasks and support projects based on workload and business needs. • Use strong problem-solving skills to diagnose complex mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC-related issues, including those involving refrigeration and electrical interactions. • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, explaining issues, proposed solutions, and work performed while representing the company in a positive manner. • Operate a company vehicle safely and maintain a clean driving record while traveling to job sites within the assigned area. • Participate in an on-call rotation every other week, responding to after-hours service requests and completing necessary repairs from the time you leave home until you return. • Document work performed, including service details and parts used, using company tools and software as required. • Adhere to safety standards and procedures on all job sites, including the proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective gear. Essential Skills

• Journeyman plumber designation with approximately 5 years of service experience, or equivalent high-level apprenticeship experience at a journeyman level. • Hands-on experience in both residential and commercial plumbing service and construction. • Proficiency in plumbing installation, service, and repair, including work in commercial construction environments. • CSTS certification. • Backflow preventer certification. • Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract, including no accidents within the past 5 years, and the ability to be bondable. • Experience working with hydronic heating systems and ventilation controls. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. • Knowledge of how electrical systems interact with mechanical and plumbing systems. • Refrigeration, mechanical, HVAC, and installation experience related to plumbing and building systems. • Strong problem-solving ability and the capacity to work independently as a self-starter. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and represent the company effectively. • Willingness and ability to participate in an on-call rotation every other week for after-hours service. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Drain cleaning experience. • Experience using Connectteam or similar workforce/field management software. • Class A Gasfitting ticket. • Institutional project experience, such as schools, healthcare, or other public facilities. • Bilingual proficiency in English and French. You will work with plumbing, mechanical, hydronic heating, ventilation controls, refrigeration, and HVAC systems, often using blueprints and digital tools, including field management software. The environment involves both service and construction settings, requiring adherence to safety standards and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Dress will align with a professional trades environment, suitable for both job site work and client-facing interactions. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Edmonton, AB. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $108000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
