About this role

Job Title: Forklift OperatorJob DescriptionThe primary role of the Forklift Operator is to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. You will be responsible for loading and unloading shipments, moving products to the appropriate storage areas, and ensuring the accuracy and condition of inbound and outbound shipments. Your role will also include packing and preparing orders for shipment to meet customer standards. Responsibilities • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. • Load and unload shipments and move products to proper storage areas. • Verify accuracy and condition of inbound/outbound shipments and report any issues. • Pack and prepare orders for shipment to meet customer standards. • Maintain inventory control, assist with stock rotation, and support physical counts. • Keep equipment and work areas clean, orderly, and in compliance with OSHA/MSDS safety standards. • Perform minor equipment maintenance and complete required timecards and reports. • Coordinate with Customer Service, Transportation, and Maintenance to ensure smooth operations. • Support facility upkeep, including pallet repair, labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and light assembly as needed. Essential Skills • Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment. • Experience in inventory control and material handling. • Ability to efficiently stack and store merchandise in appropriate areas. • Skill in using RF scanners and pallet jacks. • Experience in shipping and receiving, as well as order picking. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Familiarity with general labor tasks in a warehouse setting. • Understanding of OSHA/MSDS safety standards. You will work collaboratively with various departments to ensure smooth operations. The work area is kept clean and orderly, adhering to OSHA/MSDS safety standards. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Avon, NY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.50 - $23.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
