About this role

Job Title: Plastic Injection Mold OperatorJob DescriptionThis role operates automated and manual plastic injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic components, primarily for medical products such as mouth guards and hard plastic cases. You perform trimming and visual inspections of parts, complete medical documentation in a clean room environment, and support production by operating small equipment used for sealing, packaging, folding, and sonic welding.Responsibilities

• Operate automated and manual plastic injection molding machines to produce plastic medical parts according to production specifications. • Perform trimming of plastic parts to remove excess material and ensure clean, finished components. • Conduct thorough visual inspections of parts to verify quality, consistency, and compliance with standards. • Work in a clean room environment while following all gowning procedures and medical documentation requirements. • Accurately complete required medical and production documentation for each job and batch. • Operate small equipment such as sealing machines, packaging machines, folder machines, and sonic welders as needed. • Handle parts and materials carefully to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination. • Follow established manufacturing, assembly, and production processes and adhere to all quality and safety guidelines. • Maintain attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks and high-volume production work. • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status, issues, and quality concerns. • Follow the required dress code at all times while on the production floor and in the clean room. • Remain flexible to work while sitting or standing depending on the assigned area and project requirements. • Use microscopes only when specific projects require detailed inspection, as directed by production needs. Essential Skills

• Experience or familiarity with manufacturing and production environments. • Ability to work in assembly operations with repetitive tasks while maintaining high attention to detail. • Comfort working in a clean room environment and following gowning procedures. • Ability to perform visual inspections of parts to identify defects or inconsistencies. • Trainable attitude with a willingness to learn and follow established processes. • Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and follow instructions. • Ability to perform trimming and handling of plastic parts safely and accurately. • Capability to work overnight shifts from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Sunday to Thursday. • Reliability in following dress code and cleanliness standards required for medical production. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in medical manufacturing, assembly, or production is beneficial. • Experience working with injection molding processes and plastic components is a plus. • Familiarity with clean room protocols and documentation practices in regulated environments. • Ability to operate small production equipment such as sealing, packaging, folding, and sonic welding machines. • Comfort working in an environment where plastic odors are present. • Strong attention to detail suited for repetitive, quality-focused work. • Interest in developing skills that can lead to advanced roles, such as setup technician positions. The facility often has a noticeable plastic smell, so employees should be comfortable working in this type of setting. The standard shift runs from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Dress code requires a white collared shirt, black pants (no jeans), and preferably matching brown or black shoes. Sweatpants, pajama pants, shorts, sandals, and hats are not permitted, ensuring a professional and clean presentation suitable for medical manufacturing. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Circle Pines, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
