Job Title: Maintenance MechanicJob DescriptionAs a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on facility equipment and machinery. You will work on various machines such as packaging lines, conveyors, mixers, processing equipment, pumps, and automated machinery. You will utilize your mechanical skills across multiple areas rather than specializing in a single function and perform inspections and testing on motors, drives, bearings, belts, pneumatic systems, and electrical components. Responsibilities • Conduct preventative maintenance on facility equipment and machinery. • Work on machines including packaging lines, conveyors, mixers, processing equipment, pumps, and automated machinery. • Utilize mechanical skills across multiple areas. • Perform inspections and testing on motors, drives, bearings, belts, pneumatic systems, and electrical components. Essential Skills • Experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical components on industrial machinery. • Proficiency in working with hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventive maintenance. • Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, fabrication, and welding. • Experience with PLCs, motors, 480v, 3 phase, bearings, sprockets, sensors, proximity sensors, photo eyes, I/O, gearboxes, drives, and VFDs. • Familiarity with LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures. Work EnvironmentThe work environment is climate controlled, ensuring comfort for all employees. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hair nets, beard nets, steel-toed shoes, slip-resistant footwear, and long pants and sleeves are required. We offer 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, with shifts being 8 hours long and some positions transitioning off a 12-hour 2-2-3 schedule. Overtime opportunities are available. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Yadkinville, NC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
