Job Title: Warehouse WorkerJob DescriptionThis Warehouse Worker role supports high-volume warehouse operations in a brand-new, large-scale distribution facility. You will handle inbound and outbound freight, perform order picking and packing, and use warehouse technology to track inventory. The position involves regular interaction with drivers and coordination of shipments to ensure accurate, timely, and safe movement of products throughout the warehouse.Responsibilities

• Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to the correct destination within the warehouse. • Efficiently stage, stack, and load merchandise in designated areas to support smooth warehouse operations. • Transfer products from staging and unloading areas into the correct load doors and assigned trailers. • Ensure trailers are properly secured and chocked before entering, in accordance with safety policies. • Load and unload products using appropriate handling techniques to prevent damage and ensure safety. • Segregate, check, and stage inbound products accurately, following established procedures. • Verify that the driver, trailer, and bills of lading match the specific carrier and location for each shipment. • Count freight with drivers and ensure all documentation and requirements are completed correctly. • Load trailers for safe transit and obtain all required driver signatures on shipping paperwork. • Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking of products as needed. • Maintain a clean and safe facility by regularly cleaning, organizing, and sweeping the work area. • Keep an organized and orderly desk or individual mobile workstation for packing orders and documentation. • Pack customer orders, validate inventory counts, and print labels using warehouse systems and equipment. • Communicate with drivers regarding shipments, paperwork, and loading or unloading instructions. • Build pallets, shrink wrap pallets, and use a pallet jack to organize and move packed orders. • Use RF scanners and computer-based inventory systems to scan products in and out and accurately track inventory. • Perform general material handling, loading, and unloading tasks as required. • Carry out other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations. Essential Skills

• Previous picking and packing experience, including selecting orders based on pick slips or customer order forms. • Ability to use a computer and RF scanners to track inventory and process orders. • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and safely throughout the shift. • Comfort with standing, walking, and lifting for the full duration of the workday. • Experience with material handling activities such as loading, unloading, and moving products. • Basic proficiency with warehouse tools and equipment, including pallet jacks. • Ability to follow safety policies and procedures, especially when working around trailers and material handling equipment. • Strong attention to detail when counting freight, verifying documentation, and labeling products. • Reliable work habits and the ability to work a full-time, first-shift schedule Monday through Friday. • Steel-toed boots or shoes, as required for safety in the warehouse environment. The facility supports global supply chain solutions across multiple transportation modes and serves diverse sectors such as automotive, aerospace, pharmaceutical, healthcare, consumer retail, and food and beverage. Approximately 250 employees work on-site, including warehouse and office staff, in a highly client-focused environment where going above and beyond for customers is a core expectation. You will work on a first shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with orientation and training on the first day from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The role involves continuous standing, walking, lifting, and using equipment such as RF scanners and pallet jacks at an individual mobile workstation. Steel-toed boots or shoes are required as part of the safety-focused dress code. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belleville, MI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
