Job Title: Warehouse WorkerJob DescriptionThe Warehouse Worker operates material handling equipment and machinery to process aluminum and titanium products, manages inventory using basic computer tools, and performs general warehouse and light woodworking tasks in a heavy industrial environment. This role involves repetitive lifting, safe operation of forklifts and overhead cranes, and accurate tracking and preparation of materials for shipping and receiving.Responsibilities
• Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload aluminum and titanium pipe and other materials safely throughout the warehouse. • Operate overhead cranes to handle heavy materials in a controlled and secure manner. • Use bandsaws to cut aluminum plates according to specified measurements and production requirements. • Perform basic woodworking tasks to build skids and pallets for packing and material transport. • Lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly as part of daily warehouse operations. • Handle general labor tasks including packing, loading, unloading, and organizing materials in the warehouse. • Maintain accurate warehouse inventory records using Excel and other Microsoft 365 tools. • Assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring materials are correctly labeled, documented, and staged. • Work in a heavy industrial environment, following safety procedures and using appropriate tools and equipment. • Use basic hand tools to support material preparation, pallet construction, and general warehouse tasks. • Contribute to production workflows by preparing materials and ensuring they are available at the right time and location. • Communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing, to follow instructions and document work. • Demonstrate dependability by maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality. • Show commitment and drive by taking initiative, meeting performance expectations, and supporting team goals. Essential Skills
• Experience operating forklifts, including counterbalance forklifts, in a warehouse or industrial setting. • Ability to operate overhead cranes for safe material handling. • Proficiency in general labor tasks such as packing, loading, unloading, and material handling. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively throughout the workday. • Computer literacy with Microsoft 365, including basic use of Excel for inventory tracking. • Basic hand tool experience for woodworking and general warehouse tasks. • Minimum of 2+ years of machine operating experience in a production or industrial environment. • Experience working in a heavy industrial environment with warehouse inventory and production activities. • Ability to speak and write in English clearly and accurately. • Strong dependability, commitment, and personal drive to perform and improve. • Experience with bandsaw operation for cutting metal plates • Experience in shipping and receiving processes within a warehouse setting. • Familiarity with warehouse inventory systems and procedures. • Comfort working with aluminum and titanium materials. • Ability to build skids and pallets using basic woodworking techniques. • Strong attention to safety when operating material handling equipment. • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented industrial environment. Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a well-lit shop environment that is not temperature controlled, requiring comfort working in varying seasonal conditions. The standard shift runs Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with an initial training period of approximately three months on a 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. schedule. The setting is a heavy industrial warehouse where forklifts, overhead cranes, bandsaws, and basic hand tools are regularly used to handle aluminum and titanium materials and manage inventory. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milton, ON. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
