Job title: Machinist About the Role We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team in a dynamic machine shop environment. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of precision manufacturing projects, providing diverse production runs rather than repetitive tasks.The successful candidate will be responsible for machine setup, machining operations, quality inspections, troubleshooting, and basic equipment maintenance. Responsibilities
• Set up and execute production runs based on engineering drawings and specifications. • Determine required tolerances, materials, tooling, and machining speeds. • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. • Conduct test runs and adjust machine settings as required. • Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation. • Perform basic preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment. • Follow all quality and safety standards. Required Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Machinist • Experience operating lathes, mills, grinders, and saws. • Strong ability to work with tight tolerances and precision measurements. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. • Strong math and measurement skills. • Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment. • Diploma in Machining Techniques or related training is considered an asset. Assets:
• Experience with Acu-Rite controls. • CNC machining experience. • Experience with 2-axis and 3-axis machines. • Experience in precision manufacturing environments. Why Join Us?
