Job Title: AssemblerJob DescriptionThis role focuses on assembling and building sub-assemblies for agricultural products and bus-related components, following detailed work instructions and using a variety of hand and power tools. You will work with parts and products that can be large in size, contribute to production and packaging activities, and help ensure that each order is completed accurately according to job numbers and specifications. Responsibilities • Build mechanical sub-assemblies for agricultural products and bus-related components in accordance with detailed work instructions. • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to assemble parts and components. • Interpret and follow blueprints and diagrams to ensure accurate assembly of products. • Handle and assemble products that can be large in size, maintaining safety and quality standards. • Lift and move components and products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds as needed during the assembly process. • Perform mechanical assembly tasks with attention to detail, ensuring all parts are correctly fitted and secured. • Package and kit parts based on specific job numbers, ensuring all required components are included and properly labeled. • Support general production activities, including preparing materials and organizing workstations for efficient workflow. • Operate or assist with forklift operations, when qualified, to move materials and products within the facility. • Work with a sense of urgency while maintaining a calm, organized, and safety-focused approach in the shop. • Follow all safety guidelines, work instructions, and quality standards throughout the assembly and production process. Essential Skills • At least 1 year of assembly experience in a production or manufacturing environment. • Mechanical assembly skills, including the ability to work with various mechanical components and fasteners. • Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively in a shop or production setting. • General labor and general production experience, including working on repetitive tasks and meeting production goals. • Ability to read, interpret, and follow work instructions and basic production documentation. • Capability to lift and handle items up to approximately 50 pounds as part of daily tasks. • Solid attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly, kitting, and packaging of parts. • Reliability and consistency in attendance and completing assigned work within scheduled hours. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Automotive assembly or mechanical experience, which is considered highly relevant and transferable. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, which is a significant plus for this role. • Blueprint reading skills for mechanical components and assemblies. • Experience operating a forklift in a production or warehouse environment. • Comfort working with large products and assemblies in a shop setting. • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in working with tools and machinery. Team members work with hand and power tools, mechanical components, and large products, following structured work instructions and production processes. The shop emphasizes working with urgency while maintaining a calm, organized, and safety-conscious atmosphere. Employees may also work around forklifts and other material-handling equipment in a standard manufacturing setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of WEST FARGO, ND. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
