Who We Are Boston Consulting Group partners with leaders in business and society to tackle their most important challenges and capture their greatest opportunities. BCG was the pioneer in business strategy when it was founded in 1963. Today, we help clients with total transformation-inspiring complex change, enabling organizations to grow, building competitive advantage, and driving bottom-line impact.
To succeed, organizations must blend digital and human capabilities. Our diverse, global teams bring deep industry and functional expertise and a range of perspectives to spark change. BCG delivers solutions through leading-edge management consulting along with technology and design, corporate and digital ventures—and business purpose. We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, generating results that allow our clients to thrive.
What You'll Do In a world where data is critical to BCG's success, we are building first-class, foundational capabilities and products across the firm. Within this vision, LEAP is delivering BCG's new Learning platform to power the firm's learning and development needs. Initially, you’ll work within the Data Product squad to build a custom data product in Snowflake as part of a broader transformation program of BCG’s learning technology. The data product will help enable AI-driven learning and make learning data accessible to other teams and systems, including, for example, staffing and analytics. When the program has ended, you’ll be part of a Learning squad with RtB as its scope. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Develop well-structured Agile user stories and acceptance criteria that enable effective solution delivery, and owning your area of backlog
• Analyze processes and data needs, contributing to solution design and identifying practical approaches to business problems.
• Coordinate functional, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
• Support release readiness and implementation, identifying issues and working with technical teams to resolve them.
• Elicit, document, and validate requirements by engaging multiple stakeholder groups and subject matter experts.
• Write clear, well-structured user stories and acceptance criteria understandable by both technical and functional colleagues.
• Create, update, and maintain requirements documentation (e.g., PRDs / functional specifications).
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels, anticipating questions and translating technical details into plain language.
• Manage and triage support requests in a query management system (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Proactively flag risks and dependencies, keeping learner impact and business value as the priority.
What You'll Bring Education
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5–8 years of experience as a business / systems analyst, ideally supporting or configuring enterprise applications. Experience / Knowledge
• A bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of experience with Learning or HR applications.
• Experience with learning management or experience platforms; Docebo experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with data products, third-party platforms, and SaaS technology solutions.
• Working technical fluency with Snowflake, querying databases, and querying APIs to understand and validate data.
• Strong Agile experience, including writing user stories and working with Jira, sprints, and ceremonies.
• Experience developing and executing functional, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
• Experience using AI tools to improve the quality and efficiency of your work.
Who You'll Work With The Business Analyst is a role within the Data Product Squad, part of LEAP in BCG's digital products organisation. Reporting to the IT Director, you will work day-to-day with your Product Owner, Chapter Leads, Scrum Master, and squad members, as well as functional business partners, subject matter experts, and IT colleagues. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business to analyse, configure, and evolve BCG's new Learning platform, supporting both day-to-day operations and transformative change.
Additional info You're Good at:
• Translating learning and business needs into product requirements — asking the right questions and pushing past surface-level answers.
• Writing clear, well-structured user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements documentation.
• Communicating clearly, both verbally and in writing, with all staff levels including leadership; excellent listening skills.
• Engaging and managing stakeholders across business, functional, and IT groups, and collaborating remotely with global experts.
• Being outcome-focused — keeping learner impact and business value front of mind.
• Owning your workstream — taking responsibility for your area of the backlog and delivery, proactively flagging risks.
• Managing data definitions and basic governance — flagging when a decision has governance implications.
• Working within an Agile framework. "At BCG, our people and relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that in-person collaboration plays an important role in our culture, mentorship, and professional development.
For this role, you will generally be expected to work from a BCG office or in person with clients on a regular basis (typically around 50% of working time), depending on business needs and in line with local policies and practices.
We aim to provide a dynamic and collaborative environment that fosters connection and teamwork."
