About this role
We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Indianapolis, IN.
Monday - Friday - Will train on 7AM - 3:30PM before moving to 3:30PM - 12:30AM Shift
You will make an impact in the following ways:
Complete repairs on engine products in a service shopPerform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic toolsMaintain detailed records of serviced vehiclesAdhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policiesOngoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins productsMaintain own tools In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Completes complex internal engine repairsPerforms engine overhauls unassistedDetailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and componentsProficient experience with engine diagnostic software Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.A current valid license is required for this roleMust be 18 years old with 2 years driving experienceThis role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violationsA CDL may be required to obtain upon hireFederal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older Job Service
