Salary: £50,000 - 75,000 per year
Requirements: Experience in some of the following areas: core cybersecurity concepts such as network security, cryptography, cloud security, and forensicsUnderstanding of network protocols and how they can be abused by attackersKnowledge of the most prevalent APTs and their TTPsAbility to understand client-specific challenges and tailor solutions accordinglyCommitment to staying abreast of emerging threats, technologies, and methodologies in cybersecurityCreative and resourceful in finding solutions to complex cyber challengesKnowledge of common analysis techniques associated with Windows and/or LinuxExperience with scripting and programming, such as Python, Bash, C, C++, or JavaBPSS and SC security clearance are required, including 5 years continuous UK address history, no periods of 30 consecutive days or more spent outside the UK, and British passport holder status with no dual nationality at application Responsibilities: Use the latest intelligence and tooling to analyse information systems to ensure effective incident detection and responseWork as part of our Blue Team and support our rapidly growing SecOps teamPerform security monitoring and incident responseDevelop, maintain, and enhance security detection content primarily for Splunk SIEM to detect threats across cloud, endpoint, and network environmentsUse frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK to map detection rules and maximise threat coverageQuery high-volume datasets using analytical platforms to identify trends and unusual behaviours indicative of malicious activityConduct proactive threat hunting using available client dataCollect and interpret different sources of threat intelligenceSupport incident response activitiesAutomate SecOps processes using scriptingProvide on-call support for approximately one week per month for high-priority incidents Technologies: BashCloudCryptographySupportJavaLinuxNetworkPythonSecuritySplunkWindows More:
