Salary: £45,000 - 55,000 per year
Requirements: Strong background in IT infrastructure and networking, ideally gained within a manufacturing, engineering, logistics, processing, energy or similarly operational environmentExperience across Windows and Microsoft 365 environmentsExperience with networking, LAN, Wi-Fi, VLANs and TCP/IPExperience with servers and physical infrastructureExperience with endpoint and device managementExperience with IT asset and hardware lifecycle managementExperience working with managed service providers or external IT partnersExperience with infrastructure troubleshooting and technical project coordinationExposure to SCADA, operational technology, industrial networks or manufacturing systems would be particularly usefulAbility to understand a broad technology environment, take ownership of problems and work effectively with both technical specialists and non-technical stakeholders Responsibilities: Support and maintain servers, networks, Wi-Fi, switches and site connectivityAdminister Microsoft 365 and support end-user technologyManage laptops, tablets, phones and other IT assets throughout their lifecycleAct as the on-site technical point of contact when infrastructure or connectivity issues ariseWork with the external MSP to troubleshoot issues, manage incidents and coordinate technical projectsBuild stronger processes around asset management, hardware replacement and IT documentationSupport implementation of Group IT, cyber security and technology standardsIdentify infrastructure risks and improvement opportunities before they become operational problemsProvide practical first and second-line support where physical intervention is requiredWork around SCADA and other industrial systems to help diagnose infrastructure or connectivity issues and coordinate specialist support where necessary Technologies: HardwareSupportLANMicrosoft 365SecurityTCP/IPWindowsOffice 365DevOpsEmbeddedPLC More:
We are recruiting for an IT & Infrastructure Lead for an established and growing operational business based in Melton, East Yorkshire. This is a permanent, site-based role offering genuine ownership of the local IT environment, where you will be the key technical point of contact on site and work closely with an established managed service provider and wider Group IT teams. We offer the opportunity to become the main technology lead for the site, with local autonomy, hands-on technical work and broader development exposure across an international Group IT environment. The salary is up to £55,000, dependent on experience and overall technical capability.
