Salary: £70,000 - 70,000 per year
Requirements: We need a minimum of 5 years hands-on SOC experience, including threat detection, incident response, and continuous improvement.We need solid working knowledge of SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management platforms.We need strong Azure expertise.We value comfort using AI tools such as Claude, Copilot, and ChatGPT as part of the day-to-day toolkit.We prefer experience in legal or another regulated sector. Responsibilities: We own the design and rollout of security controls across our infrastructure.We detect, investigate, and respond to incidents and vulnerabilities as they arise.We run risk assessments, audits, and pen tests, then remediate what they uncover.We write and maintain security policies, procedures, and disaster recovery plans that meet regulatory standards.We act as the trusted voice on cyber security, briefing stakeholders and leadership.We manage external vendor and partner relationships.We champion security awareness through training across the business.We monitor emerging threats and legal-sector compliance changes. We are an established international law firm based in Leeds, and we are looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to take the lead on our security strategy. This is a hybrid role with three days a week in the office, offering the opportunity to make a genuine impact by protecting client data and critical systems across a leading legal organisation.
