Salary: £30,000 - 35,000 per year
Requirements: We are looking for an experienced IT professional with a broad background across multiple technical disciplines.We have experience in Microsoft 365 administration, user and licence management, SharePoint, Exchange, Microsoft cloud technologies, Intune including Autopilot, Entra including applications, security, governance, MFA and Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender, and Azure.We have experience supporting infrastructure technologies including Windows Server 2016–2019, server hardware and storage, Active Directory, Hyper-V, firewall configuration fundamentals, and backup methodologies and management.We ideally have at least two years of experience in a similar infrastructure or support role.Alternatively, we have around five years of IT experience and are looking to step up into an infrastructure engineering position.We are customer-focused and able to tailor our communication to different audiences.We are proactive, able to switch between technologies and priorities, and comfortable working independently as well as within a small team.We are able to support occasional out-of-hours work and occasional UK and European travel. Responsibilities: We monitor, maintain, and improve our IT infrastructure.We support the transition towards modern workplace and cloud-based technologies.We analyse existing infrastructure and identify opportunities for improvement.We research and recommend appropriate technologies and solutions.We ensure infrastructure improvements align with cybersecurity objectives.We provide 3rd-line technical support and assist the IT support team with escalated issues.We undertake project-related activities to improve and support our IT estate.We participate in change management activities.We support joiner, mover, and leaver processes, including device and account provisioning.We carry out regular patching, upgrades, and preventative maintenance.We monitor infrastructure performance and undertake predictive failure analysis.We identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes.We monitor and respond to security incidents, including remediation and continuous improvement.We produce technical documentation to support IT processes and workflows.We provide occasional support outside core hours for planned upgrades and maintenance.We travel to UK and European branch sites when required. We are a small IT team in Tiverton, Devon, working through an exciting period of transformation as we modernise our IT estate and adopt modern workplace technologies. This is a predominantly site-based role with hybrid working available after probation and for project-based work. It offers a great opportunity to broaden technical expertise, contribute to infrastructure projects, and progress towards a senior infrastructure or 3rd-line engineering position. The role is Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, for 35 hours per week, with a one-hour lunch break.
