Salary: £65,000 - 65,000 per year
Requirements: We are looking for an engineer with experience in Linux administration, Windows Server, infrastructure engineering, Kubernetes, VMware or other virtualisation platforms.We would value experience with Terraform, Ansible, Infrastructure as Code, automation and scripting.We are looking for experience with enterprise networking.We would value hands-on experience with hardware integration, server deployment, physical server hardware installation and troubleshooting.We are particularly interested in candidates who have owned and supported production environments over the long term.Experience in scientific research, advanced manufacturing, defence, high-performance computing or similar technical environments would be advantageous, but is not essential. Responsibilities: We will have you design, deploy and maintain the infrastructure behind production-scale quantum computing systems.We will have you build and maintain production infrastructure.We will have you configure Linux and Windows servers.We will have you integrate specialist scientific hardware with enterprise infrastructure.We will have you manage networking across laboratory and production environments.We will have you build and maintain Infrastructure as Code.We will have you automate server deployment and configuration.We will have you support Kubernetes-based platforms.We will have you troubleshoot infrastructure and hardware issues.We will have you work closely with DevOps Engineers, Software Engineers and Quantum Physicists.
