Salary: £40,000 - 40,000 per year
Requirements: We are looking for an experienced design practitioner with expertise in interaction and service design.We need someone who is an expert user of leading design tools, including Figma, the GOV.UK prototyping kit, and Adobe InDesign.You should be able to coach and mentor others and help define design standards for others to follow.You should be able to influence colleagues, clients, partners, and peers on the value of interaction and service design.You should be able to develop new and novel approaches to highly complex design challenges using strong design principles.You should have a broad understanding of the industry or business area.You should demonstrate competencies in client focus, drive to deliver, learning and mentoring, facilitation, thinking through making, and professional expertise.You must be willing to undertake SC clearance if successful. Responsibilities: We will expect you to act as the design subject matter expert on a product team.We want you to facilitate the design process and communicate design decisions to the team and stakeholders.You will identify potential problems, shape them, and develop solutions.You will know when to ask for further guidance and support.Your work will usually be reviewed with only occasional direction or implementation changes needed.You will contribute to communities of practice by sharing suggestions, approaches, ideas, and feedback.You will help assure the quality of design delivery within your team.You will introduce good habits for sharing and improving design work.You will occasionally take part in hiring designers and researchers.You will help define our design principles by delivering good public services.You will contribute to our design studio culture at our offices and client sites.You will support the delivery of good public services for users with clients.
