We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Industrial Controller position in the Finance Department . The position will report to the Site Controller and is based in Dunnottar. The primary focus of this position is to systematically set procedures for recording and reporting measurements of the cost of manufacturing goods and performing services in the aggregate and in detail, this will also include methods for recognizing, classifying and allocating such costs and comparing them with standard costs or weighted average. Industrial controller will be providing detailed cost information that management needs to control current operations and deploy all financial means, tools and methodologies to ensure that the upstream part of the Product cycle as well as industrial efficiency and performance targets are properly followed at site level. Key Performance Area / Main Output Detailed Description / Inputs Responsibilities and objectives: Supports Head departments and Industrial team for financial matters and performance monitoring Monitor unit cost variances and evaluate COGS supporting contract margins Prepare monthly manual journal entries ensuring that HI risks is minimized Review HI carefully for anomalies and other inconsistencies Prepare monthly and quarterly HI accounting reports for submission to FD / Site Controller Conduct inventory analysis on a quarterly basis and generate reports for FD / Site Controller Assist the Site Controller with suggesting changes to the policies or procedures to increase cash flow Generate and PPV reports and analyze findings Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs Provide support to PME team by compiling Make or Buy estimates and proposed guidance on proper action to adopt. Analyze costs of raw materials and other supplies and create cost-benefit analyses for changing vendor Develops costs optimization culture on GIBELA site Challenge PME, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Managers on operational KPIs Support warehouse to increase the level of HI accuracy thereby ensuring that its under control Assist FD / Site Controller with preparing and completing annual internal cost audits. Provide FD / Site Controller with reports that compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products or services. Assist in FD / Site Controller with random HI internal audits. Analyze any changes in goods (MSA) or services (TSSSA) provided in order to determine what effect it has on the cost. Support warehouse team with conduct physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program for any anomalies. Presents the HI Site’s results to the FD/ Site Controller in preparation for MRM Perform life cycle cost benefit analysis. Qualifications B.Com / CIMA qualification or an equivalent qualification 5 – 10 years years’ experience in a similar industry; Computer literacy – MS Office and previous SAP S/4 Hana experience will be advantageous; Good understanding of the Alstom Group reporting guidelines / packages Clear understanding of the reporting and controlling definitions within Alstom; and Good understanding of the Unit activities / business environment Gibela Rail Transport Consortium (Pty) Ltd offers equal employment opportunity and subscribes to the Affirmative Action policy. .
