About this role

We have an exciting opportunity for a postdoc to join an EPSRC-funded collaborative project, which aims to provide decision-making assistance in adversarial real-time strategy games ('wargames') using Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence.

The appointed person will work at the Department of Psychology in central Cambridge and will focus on 'Theory of Mind' elements of the project. They will have a PhD in a relevant topic (Social Cognition, Theory of Mind, Machine Learning, Applied Psychology in Adversarial Games or similar) and need to pass security screening carried out by Home Office to be appointed. Familiarity with machine learning or applied wargaming is desirable, but not essential.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 1 years in the first instance.

Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a Home Office security check.
