About The Role

Lecturer - EDI Academic tutor (Education and Scholarship) This part-time (0.3 FTE) post is available from 1/9/2026 on a fixed-term basis to cover a maternity until 31/08/2027.

Salary will be £43,482 per annum pro rata on Grade F subject to knowledge, skills and experience.

This post may attract a market supplement in line with AfC 8a, depending on qualifications and experience.

The Role Health and Life Sciences Faculty: Psychology/ Cedar

The post of Lecturer Academic EDI Tutor in DClinPsy to support the delivery of and responsibility for the design, development and production of teaching and learning material and deliver either across a range of modules or within a subject area. You will work with the EDI Lead, Academic Director and Programme Director to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of teaching programmes in accord with the Faculty’s education strategy and implementing the External Affairs strategy. You will also contribute directly to teaching and to the development and implementation of innovative teaching practices.

The post will include:

Use appropriate teaching, learning support and assessment methods. Identify areas where current provision is in need of revision or improvement and contribute to the planning, design and development of objectives and material, specifically in relation to EDI. Assess the work and progress of students by reference to the criteria and provide constructive feedback to students. Support the EDI Lead and Academic Director to ensure that module design and delivery comply with the quality standards and regulations of the university and Faculty. Participate in some line management and student tutor activities as required by the Programme Director. Support the Programme Director and EDI Lead with the development, and delivery, and evaluation of the DClinPsy EDI objectives and KPIs including established mentoring schemes. Contribute to Accreditation / registration submissions as needed within area. Support recruitment alongside the EDI Lead. Provide teaching and workshops in EDI to team, supervisors, trainees, as needed.

About you For a Lecturer post you will:

Possess sufficient breadth or depth of specialist and core knowledge in the discipline, demonstrated by a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or nearing completion to develop teaching programmes, and teach and support learning. Use a range of delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students. Participate in and develop external networks, for example to contribute to student selection, facilitate outreach work, generate income, obtain consultancy projects, or build relationships for future activities. Will have evidence of teaching identified. Possess an in-depth understanding of EDI to enable the development of new knowledge and understanding within the field.
