Business Development Manager - Health & Life Sciences - NIHR Exeter Biomedical Research Centre (BRC)

This full-time post is available immediately until the 31st of March 2028. Applications for secondments will be considered subject to agreement from your current line manager.

The starting salary will be from £43,482 on Grade F, depending on knowledge, skills and experience.

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

The Business Development Manager – Health and Life Sciences NIHR Exeter BRC role leads on the development of collaborations with industry, organisations and government partners. The post holder will play a proactive, outward‑facing role; focused on identifying, influencing and converting external partners into funded projects and longer‑term relationships. The role requires a strong sales and marketing mindset, with responsibility for building a visible pipeline of commercial and collaborative opportunities aligned to BRC priorities. They will work closely with the Business Engagement and Innovation (BE&I) NIHR BRC team including the Associate Director for BE&I, the Professors in Practice (PiPs) and Experts in Residence (XiRs).
