We are seeking an experienced Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) to lead safety compliance and execution on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects. This role serves as the on-site safety authority and plays a critical role in protecting our people, projects, and clients. We Offer: · Competitive salary (based on experience) · Paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) · Medical, dental, disability, and life insurance · 401(k) with company match · Growth opportunities within a stable, respected company · A team-based, family-style environment where employees are valued Work Includes: · Serving as the on-site SSHO and competent person in accordance with EM 385-1-1 · Implementing and enforcing the project-specific Accident Prevention Plan (APP) · Developing and maintaining Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA) for all work activities · Leading daily safety meetings, briefings, and field engagement with crews · Conducting routine site inspections and immediately addressing unsafe conditions · Ensuring compliance with OSHA, USACE, and all applicable safety regulations · Managing safety documentation, reports, submittals, and daily logs · Investigating incidents and near-misses; identifying root causes and corrective actions · Coordinating closely with Project Management, CQCSM, and subcontractors · Enforcing subcontractor compliance with all project safety requirements · Exercising stop-work authority when unsafe conditions are identified · Promoting a proactive, field-driven safety culture across the project
