The Sizewell C Jobs Service supports local people into exciting, long-term careers across our Project.#SZCJobs Plant Fitter - Electrical Bias (Sizewell C) Tru7 Group Sizewell C Are you a Plant Fitter, Plant Engineer, Auto Electrician or Heavy Plant Technician with a strong electrical and diagnostic background? We're still looking for the right person to join the Tru7 Group Engineering Team as a Mobile Plant Fitter, with a particular focus on electrical fault-finding, diagnostics and modern machine technology. This isn't just about changing filters and fixing mechanical faults. You'll be getting to the bottom of electrical, electronic and control-system faults across a modern fleet of heavy plant - using diagnostic equipment, schematics and your technical knowledge to keep machines working safely and efficiently. Job Responsibilities • Electrical fault finding & diagnostics • CAN bus & electronic control systems • Sensors, wiring & control circuits • Machine control & GPS technology • Hydraulic/electrical interfaces • Engine management systems • Planned maintenance & breakdown response • A wide range of modern heavy plant Qualifications Essential: • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance / Construction Plant Maintenance or equivalent. • City & Guilds / IMI / BTEC qualification in Plant Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or Auto Electrical Engineering would also be relevant. • Strong practical experience in electrical fault-finding and diagnostics on mobile plant, HGVs, agricultural machinery or similar equipment. • Full UK driving licence. Desirable: • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations - useful, but I wouldn't make this essential for a mobile plant role. • Manufacturer-specific training/qualifications. Experience • Experience with CANbus and ECU diagnostics. • Experience with GPS and machine-control systems. • Hydraulic/electrical control-system experience.
