About the Role

We are looking for a curious, self-driven and commercially minded Data Scientist / Analytics Specialist to help turn data into actionable insights. Working with a range of stakeholders, you will apply data science, statistical analysis and modern analytics techniques to solve business problems, inform decision-making and support strategic initiatives.

This role would suit someone who enjoys learning, is comfortable working with ambiguity and can communicate complex concepts in a simple, engaging way.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with cloud-based data platforms , write and optimise SQL and Python code to extract, transform and analyse data.

• Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities and business insights.

• Build data-driven reporting and visualisation solutions to uncover insights, tell compelling stories, and enable informed decision-making.

• Develop, test and deploy AI/ML and statistical models to solve business challenges.

• Support the development of data pipelines, where required.

• Partner with stakeholders to understand business problems, translate requirements and communicate findings in a clear and practical way.

What You'll Bring

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience using SQL and Python for data analysis and problem solving.

• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (for example Azure, AWS or BigQuery).

• Knowledge of data science, machine learning or statistical analysis techniques.

• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills, with and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• A curious mindset with a passion for learning and continuous improvement.

Desirable Skills

• Experience developing and maintaining ETL/data pipelines.

• Understanding of data engineering principles and best practices.

• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

Experience

• Typically 2-4+ years of relevant professional experience.

• Those with less experience, including graduates, with strong technical capability, curiosity, communication skills and a demonstrated ability to learn quickly are encouraged to apply.

Working Arrangements

• This position is ideally full-time, but we welcome applications from candidates seeking part-time work.

• Flexible working arrangements available.

• The role requires availability for early morning meetings to support collaboration across multiple time zones.
