About this role
The Claims Operations Analyst will be responsible for the operational management of claims at Lancashire, including successful service delivery along with ensuring that all operational functionality of the Lancashire claims team is operating efficiently, appropriately forward thinking and administered in accordance with the Group claims strategy, along with regulatory best practices and all relevant legal frameworks. Support the claims function in the successful delivery of the Group claim strategy. Ensure the high performance of the claims workflow system, drive delivery of improvement and enhancement where possible. Liaise with the claim function to produce meaningful periodic data / MI. Develop Power BI dashboard to meet the demands of the function. Contribute to claims strategies and the underpinning of infrastructure to meet the needs of the function in line with Underwriting growth initiatives. Liaise with the Head of Claims Performance to manage the oversight and performance management of delegated claims arrangements including outsourcing and DCA’s. Promote effective with active claims and lifecycle management. Stay abreast of the regulatory environment governing claims operations. Develop and maintain relations with internal stakeholders and key business functions such as underwriting, actuarial, finance risk and audit. Monitor and ensure data quality and data reconciliations, including events codes etc. Drive the performance of the claims team through data analytics and MI. Ensure claims performance remains within agreed SLA’s and KPI’s. Primary oversight of internal and external peer review and audit. Catastrophe response reporting including data returns as required. Maintain procedural documentation that attests to the approach to claims handling.
