Are you an enthusiastic and experienced rowing coach looking to inspire young athletes and support their journey from their first strokes through to competitive success?

We are looking for a committed and organised Lead Senior Rowing Coach to lead the Year 9 and Year 10 (J14/15) rowing programme across both boys’ and girls’ squads.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate coach to deliver high-quality training while creating a positive, structured, and ambitious environment where young athletes can thrive.

You will play a key role in developing rowers from beginners through to competitive level, building strong technical foundations, confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong love of the sport.

Alongside coaching responsibilities, you will support squad administration, parent communication, athlete development tracking, and event logistics.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver technical coaching sessions for Year 9 and Year 10 athletesDevelop rowers from beginner level through to competitive performanceLead training sessions for both boys’ and girls’ junior squadsCreate a positive, motivating, and high-energy team cultureMonitor athlete progress, attendance, and developmentCoordinate training sessions, equipment, and event logisticsDrive minibuses and tow trailers to training sessions and competitionsAct as a key point of contact for parents and staffSupport the wider wellbeing and development of athletesMaintain excellent safety and safeguarding standards Person Specification

We are looking for someone who is:

A confident communicator with the ability to inspire and motivate young athletesHighly organised, reliable, and proactivePassionate about long-term athlete developmentAble to build strong relationships with athletes, parents, and colleaguesCommitted to creating an inclusive and supportive sporting environment Requirements

British Rowing Level 2 qualification (or equivalent coaching experience) preferredExperience coaching junior athletes or a strong competitive rowing backgroundFull UK Driving LicenceWillingness to drive minibuses and tow trailers (training provided)RYA Powerboat Level 2 qualification (or willingness to obtain) What We Offer
