GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Supports District schools and principals in their effort to foster an optimal educational environment for students. MAJOR TASKS: • Administer, implement and oversee the Classified Employee Benefits Program • Personnel hire for classified administrators • Maintains and updates job descriptions • Tyler Technology benefit contact • Maintains and updates PowerSchool/applicant tracking system • Manages confidential personnel matters with superintendent • Manages and processes FOIA requests • Manages and processes legal and board personnel items, submits items for approval on Diligent • Subfinder for Classified (Nurses, front office, teacher aides) • Coordinates open enrollment for all district employees • Manages procurement and monitors department budget • Advertising – Local newspapers, posting on websites ex: ADE, AASBO, ASPAA, ASA and Indeed. • Order and update yearly Employers Mandatory Workplace posters at all campuses. • Maintains HR website. • Approval/posting of flyers via Peachjar. • Time clock plus – monitor and adjust timeclock hours for approval. • Manages ESI employees - Enters new employees into portal and monitors system for monthly invoicing • Manages ASRS Employee Enrollments in online system • Employee onboarding for classified staff • Agency Security Contact for DPS • Assists in planning, coordination and communications for various committees as needed • Maintains confidentiality of all Human Resources information QUALIFICATIONS: • High school graduate with additional college courses and/or secretarial training. • Experience at an Executive Secretary level. Experience in HR preferred. • Proficiency in typing with accuracy. • Knowledge of computer operations and office machine functions. • Ability to be a self-starter, anticipate needs and problems and make decisions. • Experience in the mastery of basic communication skills and effective Human Relations skills.
