Are you an organised, practical, and approachable team player? Our patient-centred and innovative GP Surgery invites you to apply for our Medical Administrator vacancy. We are searching for an enthusiastic individual with a positive outlook and a keen desire to develop their skills, helping our team maintain a first-class reception service.
Previous experience of working in a GP Surgery and knowledge of EMIS Web would be advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate who can demonstrate the following key skills
Main duties of the job
The core responsibilities of the Medical Administrator role are to receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. Provide general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
The post-holder must be flexible, have high attention to detail and be able to work under pressure, prioritise work, problem solve and work both independently using their own initiative and as part of a team.
The post-holder will positively contribute to the delivery of an excellent patient experience in all aspects of work, written, verbal and face to face.

Person Specification
Experience Essential
Experience of working with the general public, preferably within a service environment. Previous experience of working in general practice, primary care or NHS. Experience of using computers, with good keyboard skills.
Qualifications Essential
GCSE English and Maths grade 3 or above (Or other level 2 equivalent) Any qualifications in administrative work such as typing should be included in your application
