Job summary
Applications are invited for Locum Consultant in Emergency Medicine to join our friendly, dynamic and expanding Emergency Department at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The post is initially for 6 months with potential for extension / availability to apply for a permanent post for the right candidate, subject to approval following an ongoing workforce review.
We are looking for experienced, motivated individual who have worked at a senior level to provide leadership within our busy department. For the period of the locum appointment, you would be required to work on a 1:6 rota with similar colleagues covering days, nights and weekends in both the adult and paediatric emergency department.
The department has ambitious plans for improvement. Therefore as well as providing clinical expertise to enable the best possible care, it is important that you can lead service development and provide quality professional advice, contributing to all the areas that produce an outstanding working environment and patient experience.
Main duties of the job
To provide Emergency Medicine services in Bradford. The post holder will be expected to provide a comprehensive clinical service together with Consultant colleagues.

MBChB or equivalent MRCP or FRCS of equivalent to specialty (UK) or equivalent Member of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (UK) or equivalent
