Performing duties including 1) Planning, scheduling, observing, and monitoring ongoing maintenance support functions to include technical analysis, storage, distribution of materials and equipment; 2) Distributing work and adjusting staffing levels to meet workload requirements in making repairs to buildings, fixtures, or utilities and related equipment and systems; 3) Providing guidance and direction to ensure that work meets quality level and deadlines; 4) Evaluating journey-persons in the course of performing work to determine quality of workmanship; and 5) Identifying training needs of employees. Major DutiesYou will serve as as the first line supervisor in the Facility Sustainment Branch, Public Works Department, Naval Support Activity.You will support the maintenance, repair, alterations and operation of all building, structures, utilities, roads and grounds aboard Naval Station Activities (NSA).You will ensure that assigned shop work is completed within budget, on schedule and safely.You will provide immediate supervision to non-supervisory shop personnel in several related trades.
