Job Title: Member Relationship CoordinatorSchedule: Hybrid 3 days in office 2 days remoteJob DescriptionThe Member Relationship Coordinator supports the full membership lifecycle by onboarding new members, managing dues and data processes, and serving as a primary point of contact for member inquiries. This role maintains accurate membership records, coordinates key member-facing projects and events, and collaborates with internal teams to enhance the overall member experience.Responsibilities

• Support the onboarding process for new memberships by conducting organizational research, managing historical files, updating databases, and communicating with new members throughout their onboarding journey. • Manage the member dues process, including monitoring payments, tracking delinquent accounts, and conducting recovery efforts to ensure timely payment of membership dues. • Respond to member inquiries regarding dues, including calculating and providing dues estimates, addressing requests for dues adjustments, and handling revisions to member data and other dues-related projects. • Oversee annual data collection projects from members, ensuring that all information is accurate, complete, and submitted within required timelines. • Receive, review, and respond directly to member inquiries, identifying issues that require escalation and routing them appropriately while tracking progress to ensure timely resolution and closure. • Respond to internal and external requests for membership data, including directory and list requests, in a timely and accurate manner. • Support departmental efforts to maintain accurate member records in NetFORUM by performing data clean-up activities, documenting common processes, and assisting with testing new system functionality. • Consistently enter and update all aspects of membership data in NetFORUM to maintain data accuracy, integrity, and completeness. • Independently prepare professional correspondence to members and membership candidates on behalf of the Membership Department. • Develop subject matter expertise in membership and departmental processes, proactively identifying opportunities to improve workflows, documentation, and reporting. • Manage twice-yearly staff visits to co-ops, including coordinating and communicating with co-ops and staff, developing agendas, overseeing program logistics, closing out projects, and reporting on outcomes and follow-up needs to membership leadership. • Lead the annual Member Decal project by initiating collaboration with the Communications team, facilitating the judging process, coordinating design services, and managing member mailings with the printer. • Lead member-facing processes related to staff volunteer participation in meetings and conferences, including coordinating and disseminating staff volunteer sign-ups for all meetings and events. • Collaborate effectively with internal teams to support membership initiatives and ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for all members. Essential Skills

• 2 or more years of experience with association member outreach, membership recruiting, and problem solving. • Experience working with association membership databases, with familiarity in NetFORUM strongly preferred. • Bachelor's degree. • Proven customer service experience with a strong member service orientation. • Demonstrated ability to perform accurate data entry and maintain detailed administrative records. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and precisely. • Ability to prioritize, manage, and follow through on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy in records and reporting. • Experience using NetFORUM or similar association management systems. • Ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple projects at various stages of development using effective organizational skills. • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with members, colleagues, and external partners. • Resourceful, responsive, and respectful approach when interacting with others and resolving issues. • Ability to provide consistent follow-up and ensure closure on member and project-related tasks. • Ability to effectively interact with a diverse membership, internal employees, and vendors. • Comfort using standard office equipment such as computers, copiers, printers, and fax machines. • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to improve processes, documentation, and reporting over time. Work EnvironmentThis is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, typically from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring reliable internet access and the ability to work independently while collaborating virtually with team members. The role involves extensive use of Microsoft Office applications and an association membership database such as NetFORUM. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
