About this role

Job Title: BuyerJob DescriptionThe Buyer is responsible for accurately performing data entry for order processing and tracking of all spare parts purchase orders, while providing clear and timely daily status updates on all open purchase orders. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient procurement activities, maintaining up-to-date records, and supporting internal and external customers with reliable information.Responsibilities

• Receive purchase orders and accurately enter all related data into spreadsheets and tracking tools. • Open sales orders for all purchase orders received in NAV and ensure information is complete and correct. • Submit quote requests to suppliers and secure the best possible pricing for requisitioned items. • Create purchase requisitions and review them thoroughly for accuracy and completion prior to processing. • Place orders to procure requisitioned items in a timely manner, ensuring alignment with customer and production needs. • Reconcile the open order report and prepare updates for weekly meetings with customers and the manufacturing planner. • Answer phones and provide information using strong customer service skills for both internal and external customers. • Provide daily updates on shipped orders and open purchase orders to keep stakeholders informed. • Collaborate with the manufacturing planner and other team members to address issues and maintain smooth order flow. • Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to perform root cause analysis, impact assessment, and scenario analysis related to purchasing and order status. Essential Skills

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, and working with purchase orders within a supply chain environment. • as a buyer or in buyer purchasing functions, handling order processing and tracking. • Preferred associate degree or higher in supply chain, procurement, or a related field. • Preferred experience using ERP systems, particularly SAP, for managing orders and inventory. • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. • Ability to work in a driven, results-oriented manner and stay motivated to work effectively without direct supervision. • Critical thinking skills with an "outside the box" mentality, including root cause analysis, impact assessment, and problem solving or scenario analysis. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for interacting with customers and cross-functional teams. • Comfort working with ERP systems such as SAP and NAV for order entry and tracking. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate degree or above in supply chain management, procurement, business, or a related discipline is preferred. • Prior experience in a role involving purchasing, procurement, or supply chain coordination. • Familiarity with NAV or similar systems for opening sales orders and tracking purchase orders. • Demonstrated ability to provide clear status updates and reports to customers and internal stakeholders. • Experience participating in weekly update meetings and presenting open order reconciliations. • Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service over the phone and via email. • Track record of working independently while maintaining strong alignment with team goals and deadlines. Work EnvironmentThis is a full-time, onsite role with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The work environment is office-based, using ERP systems such as SAP and NAV along with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
