Security Engineers will help develop policies and assist development teams in implementing solutions to close those security gaps and make services compliant to enterprise security requirements.Typical Day• Keep development teams accountable to metrics measuring risk • Understand security requirements and risk tolerance baselines • Track existing risk statements and work with risk owners to close gaps • Maintain current knowledge on existing security procedures, directives and technology controls including application testing, threat modeling, attack and penetration testing, data classification and data handlingEducation Requirements:Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalentSoft SkillsPreferred Qualifications• 1-3 years of IT security operations experience• Experience with the Prisma Cloud toolset (Redlock, Twistlock, PureSec)• Experience with ServiceNow • Professional information security certification (CISSP, CCSP, CSSLP, GISCP, GWAPT, GWEB etc)• Excellent written and verbal communications skills; demonstrated ability to communicate highly technical security concepts to non-security audiences• Strong understanding and experience with information security technologies• Ability to coordinate multiple teams in accomplishing process review and improvement• Additional Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS)• Web Application Firewall experience• Experience with a wide variety of information security processes and principles, such as:o Defense in deptho SDLC and product development processeso Identity and access managemento Business process designo Web services securityAdditional Skills & QualificationsExcellent communication and work prioritization skills Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Peoria, IL.
