Associate Director of Marketing - Content Strategist

Position Description: Performs administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and program. Under general supervision, performs varied and complex administrative duties requiring independent judgment and the application of established policies and procedures. May provide supervision and direction to clerical, paraprofessional or professional staff members.

Major/Essential Functions: The Content Strategist will be responsible for creating, curating and managing marketing content to align with the strategic enrollment goals of Texas Tech University and engage prospective undergraduate enrollment audiences. Content development ranges in student recruitment, admissions communications, and yield initiatives across email, SMS, print, web, paid advertising and event materials — by developing clear, consistent and messaging across platforms and materials.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive undergraduate enrollment marketing content aligned with university strategic and brand goals. • Write and edit marketing copy for email, SMS, print, web, paid advertising and event materials and other undergraduate enrollment related needs. • Ensure consistent and audience-centric tone and style across content. • Manage and schedule regular content updates using a coordinated editorial calendar to ensure content remains current and relevant. • Monitor and analyze the performance of content to inform necessary adjustments.

Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field. • 2-4 years of experience in content creation. • Content auditing and strategy. • Familiar with digital analytics tools to assess content. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of attention to detail. • Respectful, cooperative, and effective in interacting with a dynamic group of employees and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Four years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
