Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Prepare flooring plans and scheduling. Prepare and install hardwood floors. Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings. Conduct moisture, ph, temperature and other tests prior to flooring installations. Estimate costs and materials. Prepare floors for installations. Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants. Perform direct glue-down carpet installations. Install materials on counter tops and raised platforms. Install vinyl decking materials. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Hand-eye co-ordination. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Judgement. Organized. Team player. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Employment terms options: To be determined.
