Main duties of the job As a Healthcare Assistant at Elysium Healthcare located in Midhurst, West Sussex, your role involves joining a team dedicated to supporting people with Eating Disorders. You will be tasked with using your healthcare skills to make a positive difference in patients' lives, helping them through their recovery. The job includes tasks like ward rounds, behaviour analysis, record updating, and overall patient care, which can include aiding with personal hygiene. You are expected to work shifts of 12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week, inclusive of nights and weekends. What you will be doing
You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with Eating Disorders conditions, using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recover pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.
Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.
It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.
The shift pattern is 12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week including nights and weekends. 37.5 hours per week.

Middlewood Clinic provide care and treatment for men and women who have an eating disorder including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and atypical Eating Disorders. Our approach will be to restore a healthy body weight and address psychological problems during treatment.
The Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) at Middlewood Clinic will be made up of the Registered Manager, Consultant Psychiatrist, Nurses, Healthcare Workers, Psychologist, Dietician, Occupational Therapist and Social Worker.
The hospital will have 12 comfortable ensuite bedrooms and a variety of communal and recreational spaces including lounge areas, a light and airy dining room, activities room, visitors room, therapy rooms, therapy kitchen area and a lovely cottage style garden.
