Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a neuropsychiatrist to work at NHNN & Chalfont as a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist .
Main duties of the job
As a consultant Neuropsychiatrist you will:o Conduct specialist outpatient clinics for the assessment and management of neuropsychiatric conditions.o Undertake ward rounds and provide expert input into the care of inpatients with neuropsychiatric needs.o Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case discussions.o Liaise with referring clinicians, including neurologists, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals.o Contribute to clinical administration, including correspondence, report writing, and referral triage.
The successful candidate will have considerable neuropsychiatric experience.

Person Specification
Knowledge and Qualifications Essential
MRCPsych (or equivalent) On GMC Specialist List in Psychiatry or at the time of interview within 6 months of expected date of CCT oEligible for Full UK GMC Registration or equivalent on GMC Psychiatry register in relevant Specialty within 6 months of expected date of CCT. (NB: Non- UK trained doctors must be on the GMC register and Specialist register in relevant Specialty by the date of the interview). ounderstanding of current changes in the management and organisational structures of the NHS oknowledge of Clinical Governance framework of NHS

oPHD, MSc, higher degree
Clinical Experience Essential
oknowledge of Clinical Governance framework of NHS oCompleted a period of training and experience in Neuropsychiatry. oExperience in assessing and treating patients with functional neurological symptoms. oExperience working in a multi-disciplinary team and understanding of the different roles oExcellent understanding of the needs of people with complex conditions and learning disability oAn understanding of patient centred care and self-care approach.
Desirable
oHigher trainee experience or consultant experience in a recognised neuropsychiatric post. oHave worked within the context of an interdisciplinary / multispecialty team where the candidate has been able to obtain significant experience in the management of patients with complex neuropsychiatric problems.
