About this role
Direct and supervise the performance of LGSTX facility maintenance staff at properties managed by LGSTX Services. Ensure that work is performed at a high quality and in a cost-effective manner. Will maintain good communication with the Property & Facility Maintenance Management as well as tenants, property owners, and LGSTX management.
Job Functions:
• Controls man-hours of LGSTX maintenance personnel and maximizes the utilization of resources. Inspects scheduled maintenance to ensure that it meets company standards for quality, cost, and timeliness.
• Supervises maintenance staff. Provides coaching, employee development, conducts performance reviews, and suggests staffing recommendations.
• Must become familiar with contract requirements for various customers including but not limited to scope of work and billing. Must understand the difference between billable and non-billable services. Able to request guidance when necessary.
• Reports on the progress of maintenance projects to customers and LGSTX management. Able to develop positive relationships with customers, tenants and intercompany colleagues.
• Submits budget recommendations, monitors expenses, prepares cost estimates, and submits justifications for new and replacement tools and equipment.
• Monitors and manages the use of supplies and equipment. Orders supplies as needed.
• Ensures that all employees complete required safety training, follow safe work practices and use required safety equipment.
• Able to perform certain maintenance tasks and assist /oversee snow removal activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Job Skills:
• Requires at least 4 years of experience in facility maintenance.
• Must be familiar with the materials, methods, terminology, equipment, and tools used in maintenance, repair, and construction of structures.
• Must be familiar with building systems such as plumbing, heating, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, painting, rough and finished carpentry.
• Must be able to read and understand construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Must be familiar with safety regulations and promote safe work practices.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• FAA Advisory Circulars, equipment operations manuals.
• Occasional travel may be required for training or customer service issues.
Preferred Job Skills:
• Previous Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in high places.
• Tolerant of inclement weather.
• Experienced at aviation facilities.
• Experience around airport, navaids, airport lighting systems.
• High voltage experience a plus.
