Job Summary:
The Job Coach is responsible for assisting in the creation of opportunities between clients and employers. CF Resource Centers are the first point of contact for new and returning clients and the Job Coach is responsible for welcoming, orienting, and supporting these individuals.
The role of Job Coach requires competency in a wide variety of areas including engaging and guiding youth with barriers in their job search, facilitating groups, sales strategies, marketing and promotions and a general understanding of business and human resources. The Job Coach actively markets our programs, assessing the needs of job seekers and businesses, developing relationships with employers, and networking with key stakeholders.
The ability to work with and have passion around helping diverse populations, such as Youth, People with Disabilities, multi-barriered, Indigenous People, Immigrants, survivors of abuse and others, is of utmost importance. Conflict resolution skills and competence in de-escalating clients in distress are important requirements for this position. The role will deliver our EMPLOY Program and support other employment services and programs.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or certificate in a related social science field and/or training or certification in employment or career counseling and/or equivalent years of experience in employment or career counseling
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License & Clean Driver’s Abstract
• A reliable vehicle registered with business insurance
Experience
• Proven experience working with diverse client populations (i.e. youth, Indigenous People, people with disabilities, multi-barriered and rural residents)
• 1+ years of experience in facilitation, teaching, and/or coaching
• Strong sales and promotions background
• Previous involvement in basic human resource practices
• Applied knowledge of effective, client-centered counseling approaches (i.e. motivational interviewing and active listening techniques)

Salary Range: $26.50 - $29.50 per hour pending experience
