JOB TITLE: Reporting Insights Analyst

REPORTING TO: Manager, Network Reporting

LOCATION: Amman, Jordan

WORKING HOURS: Able to accommodate Australian time zones

About the opportunity

The Reporting & Insights Analyst plays a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across Network Operations by delivering actionable insights, reporting solutions, and analytical frameworks. Working closely with operational and commercial stakeholders, you'll develop dashboards, reports, and performance metrics that provide visibility into network performance, cost, service, and delivery outcomes.

The role goes beyond traditional reporting, applying analytical thinking, trend analysis, forecasting, and data modelling to identify opportunities for operational optimisation and efficiency. You'll also support the development of AI and machine learning capabilities through well-governed data, predictive analytics, scenario modelling, and decision-support tools. A strong focus is placed on ensuring reporting is accurate, scalable, and user-friendly while continuously exploring innovative analytics technologies to enhance business performance.

Responsibilities:

Reporting & Visualization

• Design, test, and rollout reporting solutions and dashboards that enhance network visibility

• Build and maintain analytics and reporting pipelines visualization platforms such as Looker, Tableau, and Looker ML.

• Collaborate with data, digital, and operations teams to ensure solutions are scalable, integrated, and aligned to business needs.

• Continuously improve reporting frameworks to support evolving analytical capabilities, including AI/ML-enabled insights and simulation platforms.

• Ensure all reporting outputs comply with data governance standards, maintaining accuracy, integrity, and transparency.

• Translate complex operational and financial data into clear, accessible reports for stakeholders at all levels.

• Develop and maintain KPI frameworks that clearly link operational performance, cost, service, and customer outcomes across the logistics network.

• Design dashboards that support diagnostic and exploratory analysis, enabling users to move from high level performance views to root cause investigation

Data Integration & Management

• Prepare, clean, and integrate largescale datasets from multiple sources, including GCP, SQL, Internal data sets (ie: Transport management systems, digital network map and dynamic sortation systems) and external datasets, to ensure accuracy and consistency.

• Contribute to the central analytics platform by supporting data pipelines, ETL processes, and scalable reporting solutions.

Insights & Analytics Support

• Assist in the development of dashboards, reports, and models that provide actionable insights across the network (including internal and external data, Geospatial perspectives)

• Support predictive analytics, scenario modelling, and simulation tools to inform strategic and tactical decisions.

• Contribute to the development of a centralised analytics platform that integrates data across first, middle, and last mile operations.

• Monitor KPIs, SLAs, and key operational metrics, providing early alerts for deviations or anomalies.

• Analyse trends, patterns, and anomalies in logistics performance data to identify drivers of variation and opportunities for improvement across transportation, processing, and last mile operations.

• Support the development of predictive models, simulations, and optimisation analyses (e.g. demand outlooks, routing efficiency, capacity utilisation) by preparing data, validating outputs, and embedding results into reporting workflows

• Analyse the impact of operational and network scenarios (e.g. changes in demand, service mix, routing, or cost assumptions) using structured analytical and modelling techniques.

• Collaborate with optimisation, forecasting, and network design teams to translate analytical findings into practical, implementable recommendations.

Capability Uplift & Change Support

• Help uplift analytical capability across the network by supporting training, documentation, and user engagement.

• Act as a liaison between technical teams and operational users to ensure tools are intuitive and insights are understood.

• Support the adoption of new technologies and practices across the network.

• Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and operations teams to ensure reporting solutions are aligned, scalable, and integrated.

• Support other teams in understanding and interpreting data outputs to drive informed decision-making.

• Support training, workshops, and knowledge sharing to help stakeholders interpret insights, understand assumptions, and confidently use analytical tools in decision making

Governance & Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to governance processes for tool development, data quality, and version control.

• Monitor tool usage and performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure alignment with enterprise data, safety, and compliance standards.

• Document reporting processes, data definitions, and assumptions to maintain clarity and reproducibility.

• Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes and improve reporting efficiency.

• Support the integration of advanced analytics capabilities (AI/ML, simulation, geospatial analytics) into reporting workflows

• Apply disciplined documentation of logic, assumptions, data definitions, and methodologies to ensure reporting and insights are reproducible, auditable, and trusted

Essential experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Finance, Engineering, Business, or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in analytics, tool development, or operations support within logistics, supply chain, or network environments.

• Experience supporting performance reporting and/or incentive frameworks, ideally in a delivery or logistics context.

• Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau, and Looker; experience with Looker ML is a plus.

• Familiarity with Python, R, or other analytics languages is advantageous for preparing datasets, supporting predictive insights, or automating workflows.

• Understanding of logistics operations, network planning, and key performance drivers.

• Experience in Agile delivery environments, using tools such as Jira for work management, GitLab for version control and CI/CD, and Confluence for documentation, governance, and knowledge sharing of analytics.

• Awareness of AI/ML applications in analytics and ability to collaborate with Data Solutions or AI teams to integrate predictive and prescriptive insights into reporting workflows.

• Exposure to digital transformation initiatives, particularly in data, forecasting, or automation.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across technical and operational teams.

• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

• Strong focus on data quality, governance, and reproducibility, ensuring reporting outputs are accurate, reliable, and actionable.

• Ability to perform exploratory and diagnostic analysis, moving beyond standard reporting to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.

• Familiarity with predictive analytics, optimisation, and machine learning concepts, with the ability to support or operationalise outputs developed by specialist data science teams

• Qualifications or coursework in data science, statistics, operations research, or analytics are desirable, as is experience developing analytical tools, dashboards, and reporting solutions or tool development (desirable).
