About this role
The Acorn Project requires a caretaker for the grounds associated with a busy youth center in Edenderry. Duties will include: 1. Mowing Lawns 2. Litter Control 3. Strimming and Hedge Trimming 4. Pesticide Control 5. Maintenance of Buildings 6. Machinery Maintenance 7. Performing routine repairs, such as painting, fixing furniture, changing bulbs, and addressing minor issues. 8. Assisting in a Soccer Program once a week. 9. Maintenance of Astroturf. 10. Assisting in Allotments Year Round (Growing fruit and veg with young people and youth worker) Requirements: • Willingness to engage with training. • Garda vetting. • Positive attitude and willingness to engage. • Motivated and willing to pitch in. • Respect of confidentiality. • Physical fitness for lifting and site upkeep..
