About this role
The Acorn Project requires a caretaker for the grounds associated with a busy youth center in Edenderry.
Duties will include
- 1. Mowing Lawns
- 2. Litter Control
- 3. Strimming and Hedge Trimming
- 4. Pesticide Control
- 5. Maintenance of Buildings
- 6. Machinery Maintenance
- 7. Performing routine repairs, such as painting, fixing furniture, changing bulbs, and addressing minor issues.
- 8. Assisting in a Soccer Program once a week.
- 9. Maintenance of Astroturf.
- 10. Assisting in Allotments Year Round (Growing fruit and veg with young people and youth worker)
Requirements
- Willingness to engage with training.
- Garda vetting.
- Positive attitude and willingness to engage.
- Motivated and willing to pitch in.
- Respect of confidentiality.
- Physical fitness for lifting and site upkeep..
