Position Title: Cleaner (Community Employment – Developmental Opportunity) This is a developmental opportunity, and no previous experience is required. Fully accredited training will be provided to support participants in developing skills and building a career in horticulture and grounds maintenance. Duties Include: • General cleaning duties to include sweeping, hoovering, washing floors in the atrium area, and all other offices/rooms in the building. • Cleaning and maintaining toilet facilities, • emptying bins daily, • cleaning interior glass panels, etc. The goal is to keep Deaf Village Ireland in a clean and orderly condition. Key Requirement: Irish Sign Language (ISL) is essential for this role. The successful participant will be working closely with members of the Deaf community, where ISL is the first language. • All participants will be expected to learn ISL • ISL classes will be provided as part of the programme Eligibility (Community Employment – CE): Eligibility must be verified by the Department of Social Protection.
