Title: QA Analyst GCA: IC - 4 As a QA Analyst your day your day-to-day job responsibilities will involve: Creating test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures. Documenting software defects, using a Jira bug tracking system, and reporting defects to software developers. Identifying, analyzing, and documenting problems with program function, output, online screen, or content. Creating and or improving test plans that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability. Documenting test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards. Planning test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates. Conducting software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments. Testing system modifications to prepare for implementation. Monitoring bug resolution efforts Reviewing software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks. Providing feedback and recommendations on software usability and functionality. Monitoring program performance to ensure efficient and problem-free operations. Investigating customer problems referred by technical support. Conducting historical analyses of test results. Performing initial debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code pieces to determine breakdown source. Collaborating with field staff or customers to evaluate or diagnose problems. Preferred Skills: Problem Sensitivity: The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem. Deductive Reasoning: The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. Inductive Reasoning: The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events). Written Comprehension: The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. Verbal Expression: The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. Written Expression: The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand. Preferred Qualifications: Undergraduate degree or working experience in lieu of the degree. Experience in a technology-based setup.
