Who are we? SanlamAllianz Namibia is a leading Financial Services Institution, which provides services in the fields of Individual Life Insurance, Group Life Insurance, Unit Trusts and Asset Management. To give substance to its objective to be fully-fledged Namibian Insurer, SanlamAllianz Namibia is increasingly introducing greater financial and technical expertise. What will you do? Efficiently and effectively process all claims submitted while maintaining accurate record-keeping of accepted, repudiated, and declined claims. Provide timely, professional feedback to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring adherence to compliance regulations and service level agreements (SLAs). What will make you successful in this role? Process, assess, and authorize claims accurately and within agreed service levels Investigate and resolve complex and escalated claims cases in line with company policies and regulatory requirements Provide exceptional service and technical support to clients, intermediaries, and internal stakeholders Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, company policies, and risk management requirements Detect, report, and escalate suspected fraudulent activities Prepare operational reports, claims statistics, and stakeholder communications Maintain and optimize claims processes, systems, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance to junior team members Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve claims service delivery and operational efficiency Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in claims management Qualification and Experience School leaving certificate A Diploma in Business Administration or a related field will be an advantage Minimum of 3 years of working experience in the insurance industry, particularly in a claims environment Minimum of 2 years working experience in a senior position Comprehensive product knowledge of insurance offerings will be a strong advantage Knowledge and Skills Full proficiency in English (verbal and written); knowledge of an additional local Namibian language will be a competitive advantage Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Sound knowledge of claims administration and insurance regulations Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong intermediate skills in administration, record-keeping, and data management Basic mathematical skills are required for accurate calculations and claims processing Personal Attributes Business insight - Contributing independently Manages complexity - Contributing independently Plans and aligns - Contributing independently Manages conflict - Contributing independently Core Competencies Cultivates innovation - Contributing independently Customer focus - Contributing independently Drives results - Contributing independently Collaborates - Contributing independently Being resilient - Contributing independently Build a successful career with us We’re all about building strong, lasting relationships with our employees.
