Job SummaryYou will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST in the AUV ENGINEERING BRANCH (N944) of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.

QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND Specialized Experience: require one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT. The employing agency is responsible for defining the specialized experience based on the requirements of the position being filled. - Experience overseeing the administration and optimization of enterprise-wide IT architecture spanning multiple Local Area Networks (LANS) AND Wide Area Networks (WANS). - Experience overseeing data collection, processing, software installation, and system integration for mission critical data. - Experience acting as a team lead for advising and guiding junior IT specialists. - Experience overseeing the development and implementation of policies and procedures that ensure compliance with Cybersecurity and Information Assurance standards. - Experience identifying IT problems, finding a solution, and presenting recommendations/solutions to leadership. Major DutiesYou will provide strategic oversight for system performance, integration, and configuration, ensuring high reliability, security, and compliance with organizational and national cybersecurity standards.You will act as a specialist in troubleshooting and resolving critical IT issues affecting operational readiness, making decisions to prevent or mitigate disruptions in mission-critical systems.You will serve as an Authority to Operate (ATO) Lead for all IT systems within the Ocean Projects Department.You will provide advice and recommendations to senior management regarding ATO policies, processes, and compliance strategies.You will serve as the DoN Application and Database Management System (DADMS) Representative, ensuring accurate reporting and coordination of IT asset inventories and ensuring compliance with Navy and DoD policies.You will oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures that ensure compliance with Cybersecurity and Information Assurance standards.
