Job SummaryYou will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (APPSW) in the Rapid Mission Integration & Interoperability Department (MX), Expeditionary C3 & Cyber Division (MXL), Tactical Communications Branch (MXLS) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $138,370).
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 grade equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing or leading the planning, designing, and execution of testing IT systems (e.g. complex tactical, non-traditional) to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks for the success of meeting future mission requirements. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. Major DutiesYou will serve as the Lead Project and Cybersecurity Administration and serve as the primary project administrator and cybersecurity specialist for ACAT I major automated information systems.You will own and maintain the cybersecurity posture of critical tactical systems and balance programmatic requirements and constraints with operational needs.You will be responsible for vulnerability and code assessments by utilizing industry-standard tools to rigorously assess security control implementation and validate source code integrity.You will provide strategic recommendations and deliver technically advanced actionable recommendations to continuously enhance and mature the security posture of tactical networks.
