Job SummaryYou will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (APPSW) in the Expeditionary C3 & Cyber Division of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Using the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to build and manage security authorization packages to achieve an Authority to Operate (ATO); performing secure engineering on tactical systems by validating source code, enforcing software controls, and configuring secure hardware or networks; and leading technical teams or working groups to solve operational security problems and manage customer communication. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. Major DutiesYou will serve as a senior Cybersecurity Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing comprehensive lifecycle Information Assurance (IA) and secure engineering leadership for critical tactical systems.You will leverage expert-level knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and current DoD authorization pathways to lead research, development, engineering, and continuous monitoring of robust security authorization packages.You will have extensive, multi-disciplinary technical acumen spanning advanced hardware architecture configurations, secure system design, and the implementation and rigorous documentation of application-level software security controls.
