Job SummaryYou will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Force Protection Department (N3) of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BLAZ. A post allowance amount, (otherwise known as: COLA), of 11.88% will be added to the stated salary. Post allowance is subject to change at any time. QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) experience directing daily operations for comprehensive installation security and antiterrorism programs. 2) ability to advise senior leadership on force protection and law enforcement matters. 3) implementing crisis management procedures for physical and asymmetric threats. 4) experience validating manpower requirements and directing security force training. Major DutiesYou will advise the Program Director and the Commanding Officer, MCBG on all matters pertaining to installation security, force protection, and antiterrorism programs.You will coordinate with the Joint Region Marianas Regional Security Officer on issues that relate to policy, resources and program direction.You will plan, manage, coordinate, implement and direct an effective security program that includes: waterfront security, physical security, law enforcement, antiterrorism, force protection, and loss prevention programs at Marine Corps Base Guam.You will organize plans, direct, coordinate and implement procedures for crisis management of situations that pose a threat to the bases' physical security or personnel.You will review, policy matters or problem areas of concern to the Installation Program Director, Commanding Officer or higher authority, i.e. security of visiting dignitaries, toxic chemical spills, bomb threats or antiterrorism concerns.You will provide advice and assistance to supervisors, managers, commanders and other personnel on the installation during contingency operations.
