You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify at the GS-09 level: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Supporting strategic planning activities for telecommunications projects; Recommending development and implementation of long-term processes; AND Interpretating guidance in support of activities. -OR- SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION: A Master's or equivalent degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related -OR- COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
Major DutiesAs a Telecommunications Specialist, you will perform the following duties:??????? Assists in development and implementation of long-term planning processes. Generates recommendations that are effectively communicated with stakeholders and colleagues. Utilizes project management principles to support strategic planning activities for telecommunications projects. Assists in preparing concise, well-written recommendations on the improvement of spectrum management policies. Tracks and monitors actions using project management artifacts and best practices, drafts proposals and papers.
